Brenda Fortune Sisson

Services for Mrs. Brenda Fortune Sisson were held Sunday, December 6, 2020, at 3:00 p.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Dr. Dan Howard officiating.  Burial followed in the Mars Hill Cemetery in Winston County.  McClain-Hays Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. 

Mrs. Sisson, 76, of Philadelphia, died Friday, December 4, 2020, at her home.  

A native of the Four Corners Community of Winston County and a longtime resident of Philadelphia, she was owner and co-founder of Richard Sisson Trucking in Philadelphia.  Mrs. Sisson was a member of First Baptist Church and a member of Eastern Star.  She was a homemaker and renowned cook.  She was active in the City Arts Council. 

Survivors include three sons, Kim Sisson of Atlanta, GA, Tim Sisson, and Jim (Maria) Sisson, both of Philadelphia, MS; three grandchildren, John Forrest, Adrienne, and Sydney Sisson. 

Mrs. Sisson was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Sisson; parents, James and Ester Fortune; and infant brother, John Forrest Fortune. 

Pallbearers were Riley Todd, Reggie Shumaker, Dylan Goines, Jody Pope, Jim Abraham, Rob Robison, Chris Fortune, and Kenny Mack Parker.
