Barbara N. Thaggard

Graveside services for Barbara N. Thaggard were held Friday, March 22, 2024 at 9 a.m. from Morrow Cemetery with Bro. Chris Shelton officiating. McClain-Hays Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Ms. Thaggard,92, of Philadelphia died Wednesday, March 20, 2024.

Ms. Barbara was born and raised in Neshoba County and attended Dixon Community School and also ECCC. She worked at Milling Shirt Factory in Union and later was the owner of A & B Grocery and Thaggard’s Used Cars. She had been a resident of Atwood since 2023. Ms. Thaggard was a longtime member of Dixon Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include daughters, Donna Strickland (Larry) and Linda Tingle (Mike); four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and their families.

Ms. Thaggard was preceded in death by husband, Alvis Thaggard; son, Jerry Thaggard; brothers, Paul and Bill Nicholson.
