Voters head to polls Tuesday for runoffs

Voters in the Republican Party primary will return to the polls Tuesday, Aug. 29, to decide five runoff elections.

Voters who voted in the Aug. 2 Republican Primary election and those who did not vote, are eligible to participate in the runoff. The polls open at 7 a.m. and close at 7 p.m.

The following elections will be decided:

• Circuit Clerk – Grant Myers vs. Delana Waddell;

• Supervisor District 1 – Shelby Beason vs. Mike Snow;

• Supervisor District 3 – Christopher C. Gardner vs. Kinsey Smith. The winner advances to the general election to face Independent Colby Pope;

• Supervisor District 4 – Gordon Adkins vs. Kevin Wilcher, and,

• Constable Place 1 – Patrick L. Burt vs. John Lilly. The winner faces independent Cortez Peebles in the general election.
