Union baseball teams sweep two-games series from Bay Springs

The Union Yellowjacket baseball team improved to 4-2 with a sweep of Bay Springs.

The Yellowjackets defeated Bay Springs 8-4 in the first game and 17-1 in game two.

Union had 11 hits and kept up a steady pace of runs in game one. 

Henry Thornton was the winning pitcher.

Jaylon Buckley hit a triple and a single. He scored one run and knocked in four more. Kolton Cockerham hit a double and a single. He scored one run and knocked in another. Preston Germany hit a double and two singles while scoring one run. Peyton Posey hit a double.

Union scored 10 runs in the first inning of the second game.

Judd Young was the winning pitcher.

Kaleb Casey hit had one hit, scored three runs and knocked in another. Cockerham and Buckley both nailed two runs while scoring one run and knocking in three more. Rope Lovern had three hits, scored two runs and knocked two more in, Jacob Moore had two hits, scored four runs and knocked two more in.
