A trio was arrested on drug charges after security at the Golden Moon Casino found drugs on the casino floor last month, the authorities said

Neshoba County Sheriff Eric Clark said deputies were called to the Golden Moon Casino on June 26 at 1 a.m. Upon arrival, deputies found that Choctaw Police and casino security had found a bag of a controlled substance believed to be crystal methamphetamine on the casino floor and traced it back to a man staying at one of the casinos.

The man, George Chad Jones, 49, of 1103 Walnut Street, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of paraphernalia.

Security had used casino security footage to locate the suspect who dropped the bag. After a conversation with Jones, deputies found that he was staying at the Silver Star Casino across the road and had two people in his hotel room.

Clark said Jones told officers he had asked the two to leave but they were still in his hotel room.

At the room at the Silver Star, deputies found James Kirk Weems and Nancy Rainer, more meth and paraphernalia. The couple was arrested and all three were transported to the Neshoba County Jail.

Weems, 40, of 100 South Lane, Newton, and Rainer, 32, of 10105 Road 444, were arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of paraphernalia.
