A Philadelphia teenager has been arrested and charged in connection with a shooting Monday on Valley View Drive that sent a man to the hospital.

The teenager, Lemarion Holden, 18, 237 Valley View Drive, was arrested and charged with discharging a firearm in the city limits.

Philadelphia Police Chief Eric Lyons said investigators are seeking a second suspect and shooter.

“More arrests are expected and we will release updates when we get them,” Lyons said.

Lyons said the incident was reported at about 12:50 p.m. when his office received a report of shots fired on Valley View Drive. Lyons said the call took officers to Holden’s residence.

According to Lyons, a male was struck in the foot and was transported by personal vehicle escorted by law enforcement Neshoba General. Lyons said the victim was reported to be in surgery on Tuesday and was expected to be released that evening or Wednesday.

Neshoba County Sheriff Eric Clark said deputies responded to the scene and were part of the escort to the hospital.

A neighbor’s vehicle and residence were struck with bullets from the incident. No injuries were reported by the neighbor, Lyons said.

This was the first of two shootings reported in the city on Monday.
