A suspect is in custody and police are searching for a second involved in the exchange of gunfire at a Beacon Street convenience store in late May.

Ernest L. Moore, 27, of 821A Chestnut Street, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault. Moore bonded out on June 18 in the late afternoon on $20,000 bond.

Philadelphia Police Det. Bobby Pattillo said that Moore was taken into custody on June 15.

Pattillo said that Moore was one of two suspects wanted in connection with a shooting reported on Beacon Street.

Pattillo said the other suspect has been identified as Hussain Pickens. He has been charged with the same assault charge and remains at large.

On Saturday, May 29 at approximately 4:30 p.m. officers were dispatched to the Quick Stop, 299 West Beacon St., in reference to two suspects shooting at each other inside the store, Pattillo said.

No injuries were reported.
