Sue Powell

Services will be Wednesday, March 1, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Rev. Mack Alford officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 12 noon until time of service.   

Sue Powell passed away on Saturday, February, 25, 2023. 

Sue grew up in the Johnsonville community of Neshoba County and graduated from Neshoba Central High School. She moved to Jackson and began her career at Southern Farm Bureau.   

Survivors include daughter, Karen Rosamond of Jackson; son, Jeff Powell of Brandon; two grandchildren; one great-granddaughter, brothers, Jim and Billy Johnson, both of Philadelphia; sisters, Bettie Cook of Philadelphia and Sandra Warren of DeKalb. 

Mrs. Powell was preceded in death by husband, Henry Powell; daughter, Gina Powell; parents, Arnold and Gertrude Johnson; brother and sister-in-law, Allen and Mary Ann Johnson.
