Two Neshoba County men face charges on three counts of commercial burglary after law enforcement officials said they broke into three convenience stores, one in the county and two in the city, taking cigars, cigarettes and lighters on Dec. 31.

Ira Hayes Anderson, 20, of 1519 Mills Road, Conehatta, and Tyler Marshall, 19, of 330 Oswald Road, Philadelphia, were arrested and charged with three counts of burglary of a business each.

On Tuesday, both men remained in the Neshoba County Detention Center on a $40,000 bond each.

Sheriff Eric Clark said Anderson and Marshall have been charged with the commercial burglary of Bobby’s Country Store on Highway 16 east reported on the morning of Dec. 31.

He said the Philadelphia Police Department also charged both with the burglaries at the Shell station on Highway 16 East and Joey’s Mini Mart on Holland Avenue.

“Anderson used a Kaiser blade to smash the glass entrances and proceeded behind the counters to grab cigars, cigarettes and lighters,” Clark said. “Marshall was the driver in all three incidents.”

The burglaries are believed to occur on the same night.

Marshall was picked up on a checkpoint late that afternoon, and Anderson was turned over to Sheriff’s deputies by a relative, Clark said.
