Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 6, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. from Antioch Baptist Church with Rev. J. R. Eaton officiating.  Burial followed in Hester Cemetery in Neshoba County.  Visitation was held Wednesday at the church from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.  McClain-Hays Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. 

Mrs. Harper, 87, of House, died Monday, April 4, 2022, at Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian.

A native of Neshoba County, she was a 1954 graduate of Vimville High School in Lauderdale County.  After living most of her adult life in Texas and Louisiana she and her husband moved back to Neshoba County in 2002.  She enjoyed arts and crafts and baking cakes.  She loved spending time with family, especially watching her grandkids play sports.  Mrs. Harper was a member of Antioch Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Edwin Harper of House, MS; daughter, Anita Webb (Scott) of Shreveport, LA; grandchildren, Jeffrey Webb (Amy), Angelina Dearman (Rob) and Logan Webb; great-grandchildren, Isabella Dearman, Nathan Webb, Addison Dearman, Hadley Webb, Ella Grace Dearman, Neely Webb, Tatum Dearman; sisters, Iva Hurtt (Jack), Joyce Hill, and Jeanette Chaney, all of House, MS; brother, Joe Bland (Ann) of Collinsville, MS; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Harper was preceded in death by a daughter, Ramona Vrazel; parents, T. J. and Ruth Bland; brothers, Henry Bland and Charles Bland.

Pallbearers are Jerry Creel, Fred Bean, Tommy Swain, Scott Webb, Rob Dearman, and Larry Singleton.
