Richard C. Austin, Sr.

Services for Richard C. Austin, Sr., were held Friday, July 10, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Dr. Mike Carr officiating.  McClain-Hays Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Austin, 84, of Philadelphia, died Tuesday, July 7, 2020, at Neshoba County Nursing Home.

A native of Maine, he moved to Mississippi early in life and was a resident of Neshoba for the past 25 years.  He was a retired truck driver.  Mr. Austin was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Philadelphia.

Survivors include daughter, Roxanne Austin of Daleville, MS; sons, Rick Austin of Clinton, MS, Rex Austin of Alexandria, LA, Randy Austin of Pineville, LA; stepson, Scott Ford of Ft. Walton, FL; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Mr. Austin was preceded in death by his wife, Dinkey Austin; parents, Carroll and Helen Austin.
