Rex Lewis

A graveside service was held Saturday, March 4, 2023, at 1:00 p.m.  from Cedarlawn Cemetery.  McClain-Hays Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Lewis, 66, of Meridian, died Thursday, March 2, 2023.

Rex was born and raised in Neshoba County and attended Philadelphia High School.  He graduated from East Central Junior College with a degree in drafting.  He built homes in Philadelphia and Jackson; and moved back to Meridian to work with Signs Plus. Mr. Lewis was Baptist by faith. 

Survivors include mother, Bonnie Holley Lewis of Meridian; daughter, Casey Ward and stepson, Todd Pearson, both of Durant, MS; sister, Robbie Lewis Fornea of Pensacola, FL; brothers, Randy Lewis and Russ Lewis, both of Meridian, MS; five grandchildren, six nieces and nephews.

Mr. Lewis was preceded in death by his father, James C. Lewis; grandparents, HB and Evie Holley, and Cleveland and Wilma Lewis.
