Three people were arrested for possession of over half an ounce  of methamphetamine after a Poplar Avenue drug bust on Friday, the authorities said.

Philadelphia Police executed a search warrant in the 500 block of Poplar, according to Philadelphia Police Chief Phillip Lyons, and the following were arrested:

• Samantha Anthony, 34, of Poplar Avenue;

• Deborah Dooley, 27, of Road 2234, Union;

• Nigel Lewis, 36, of Road 1361.

They were all arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance, according to Lyons.

Philadelphia PD was assisted by state narcotics agents as well, Lyons said.

The arrests came on Friday, July 14 at about 3:30 p.m. when PPD officers executed a search warrant at the residence where they believed narcotics were being distributed and used.

“An investigation had been ongoing surrounding this residence and the possible drug traffic that was taking place there,” Lyons said, noting that the arrests were made at Anthony’s residence.

The three remain in custody in the Winston County Detention Center without bond.
