Person of interest in shooting

Police have a person of interest in a case where shots were fired into a passing vehicle on Valley View Drive.

Police were initially called to Valley View on Sunday, Sept. 17, at 6:40 p.m. in response to reports of shots fired. 

After interviewing witnesses, officers believe the shots came from a vehicle seen near 537 Valley View Drive.

A nurse at Neshoba General called police later that evening to say her vehicle had been struck by bullets on Valley View. 

She had cut through Valley View at about the time the shots fired report came in, Philadelphia Police Chief Eric Lyons said.
