Pair arrested with meth

Two men were arrested on meth charges after deputies found them riding in a pickup in the middle of Road 4300 last Sunday evening.

The driver, Michael Goforth, 69, 92 McKee Road, DeKalb, was arrested and charged with careless driving and possession of a controlled substance.

Also arrested was the passenger, Randal Morrow McKee, 61, 92 McKee Road, DeKalb, charged with contempt of court and possession of a controlled substance.

Clark said deputies first encountered the duo at about 6:30 p.m. on Jan. 28, on the road in the House community where the GMC pickup in which they were riding was in the middle of the road. 

The two men told the deputies they had just left House Grocery.

After identifying the two men, deputies learned McKee had a contempt of court warrant. Deputies made the arrest and a search of the vehicle found a crystal-like substance believed to be methamphetamine.
