Jobs for America’s Graduates (JAG), a national nonprofit committed to empowering young individuals with the skills for success in education, employment, and life, is excited to announce the newest addition to its board of directors, Dan Davis, a Neshoba County native.

Bringing a wealth of business, education and philanthropic experience, Mr. Davis has served as founder and leader of Southern Research Group (SRG) a full-service political/business consulting, public relations, and marketing research firm, since 1985. His dedication to education and workplace preparation for young people, particularly those in indigenous communities, aligns seamlessly with JAG’s mission to prepare high school and other students for further education and/or meaningful employment.

Janelle Duray, president, and CEO of JAG, expressed enthusiasm, stating, "We are delighted to welcome Dan to our board of directors. With his unique perspective and proven track record in the business and philanthropic world, coupled with his passion to support the underserved communities of the South, we are confident that his contributions will play a crucial role in advancing JAG’s impact across America."

Davis joins a dedicated team on the JAG board, including seven state governors (board chair Gov. Kim Reynolds of Iowa, and vice chair Gov. Albert Bryan, Jr. of the US Virgin Islands among them). The board also includes executives from major companies such as GE, Microsoft, Boeing, Regions Bank, Synchrony, HCA Healthcare, and others.

At SRG, Davis leads a team with extensive experience in comprehensive consultative research and marketing solutions, particularly in the realm of health-related research. With a track record of four national advertising awards, editorial features, and contributions to trade publications, Davis is known for his exceptional business development and organizational improvement skills.

But he’s also been very active in philanthropic endeavors, both in the US and overseas.  In addition to his scholarship and hunger relief initiatives, Mr. Davis is a staunch supporter of multiple schools in Africa, where he continues to champion educational programs and infrastructure development.

“As soon as Janelle asked me to join the JAG board, I had no hesitation in saying yes,” Davis said. “Having been involved in education and charitable ventures for many years, I know the work that JAG does is extremely important for our youth.  I look forward to furthering JAG’s mission and vision and I can’t wait to get going!”
