A boater missing on the Pearl River south of Burnside was located early Sunday morning, the authorities said.
The Neshoba County Sheriff’s Office was notified about 4:30 am that a boater had not returned from the river.
The boater had launched a jet ski and traveled downstream from Highway 19, the authorities said.
The SO requested assistance from local Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks officers in finding the missing boater who was not identified.
Wildlife officers located the missing boater uninjured on the Pearl River just south of the Highway 19 boat ramp.
The boater was located and brought to safety.. “Thanks to MDWFP and our devout deputies!” Sheriff Eric Clark said in a Facebook post.
