Matthew Chad Lewis

Funeral service for Mr. Matthew Chad Lewis will be held 2 PM Saturday, December 11, 2021 at Pearl River Facility Building with Deacon Williamson Isaac officiating. Interment will be in Hope Indian Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10 AM Friday, December 10, 2021 at the Pearl River Facility Building. John E. Stephens Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Lewis, 38, passed away Thursday, December 2, 2021 at Avera Hospice, in Sioux Falls, SD. He lived in the Pearl River Community most of his life, living in South Dakota the past 3 ½ years. He was a construction worker, enjoyed listening to music, playing video games, and watching movies. He was Baptist by Faith.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter Dean Lewis and Emmaline Nickey; sister, Latesha Lewis; brother, Cokie McCombs.

Survivors include daughters, Malaya Lewis and Nancy Gibson John; sons, Gage Lewis and Brandon Lewis; sister, Tenisha McCombs; brother, Kimo McCombs; 1 grandchild.

Pallbearers are Michael Briscoe, Randall Malerich, Nehmiah Solomon, Jerrick McMillan, Garreth Cauthen, Kendall Martin, Julian Tubby, Kendrick McWilliams.
