Mary Jane Deweese

Funeral services for Mary Jane Deweese were held Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Rev. Judd Vowell officiating.  Burial followed in Mars Hill Cemetery in Winston County.    McClain-Hays Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. 

Ms. Deweese, 86, of Philadelphia, died Saturday, February 19, 2022. 

A native and longtime resident of Winston County, she was owner and operator of M. J. Farms until she retired.  Ms. Deweese was a member of Plattsburg Baptist Church. 

Survivors include daughters, Sharon McBreairty of Philadelphia, Susan Vowell of Philadelphia, Stacie Reel of Louisville; son, Warren L. Deweese III of Philadelphia; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and sister, Sherry Roncoli of Newton.

Ms. Deweese was preceded in death by the father of their children, Warren Deweese, Jr., son, Marty Deweese, granddaughter, Bailey Deweese; one sister and eight brothers.
