Man arrested in connection with Thursday shooting death
A Philadelphia man has been arrested and charged in connection with an afternoon shooting Thursday.
The man, Roderick J. Talley, 24, of Philadelphia, has been arrested and charged with the murder of 23-year-old Kendall Triplett of Philadelphia, according to Philadelphia Police Chief Eric Lyons.
On Thursday, Dec. 7, officers were dispatched to the corner of Powell Street and Clyde Avenue on reports of a suspicious vehicle parked for several hours.
Upon arrival, officers noticed the vehicle parked in a driveway leading into a wooded area off Clyde Ave.
Lyons said officers approached and discovered a black male in the driver's seat with a gunshot wound to the head who was later identified as Triplett.
The initial investigation believed Triplett to be deceased for several hours.
Further investigation led to the identification and questioning of Talley who was charged on the morning of Dec. 8, in connection with the shooting.
Talley is being held at the Winston-Choctaw County Detention Center.
