Man convicted of burglary at casinos

A Mathiston man was convicted last week in a June 2021 auto burglary\66 at the casinos.

The man, Jerry Pittman, 38, 1484 Fellowship Road, Mathiston, faces between three and 25 years in prison following his conviction Friday, for burglary, District Attorney Steven Kilgore said.

Pittman was arrested on June 11, 2021, after he was detained by casino security after he was found trying to break into a vehicle in the parking lot of one of the casinos.

Sheriff’s Deputies responded and took Pittman into custody.

He will be sentenced on Friday, Kilgore said.
