Man busted with cocaine at Silver Star
A Columbus man in town for a poker tournament was arrested at the Silver Star Casino Sunday night after he allegedly dropped a small bag of cocaine on the floor.
The man, Randall Arthur Edmonson, 55, 289 Bent Oak Road, Columbus, was arrested and charged with three counts of possession of a controlled substance, the authorities said.
Neshoba County Sheriff Eric Clark said deputies were called to the casino on Oct. 29 at about 6:30 a.m. where they met casino security, Choctaw Police and Edmonson in a secure area.
Investigators learned that a small bag of drugs believed to be cocaine was found on the casino floor and a small amount was found in a bathroom at the casino. Edmonson confessed to possessing the drugs as well as having more in his hotel room at the Danging Rabbit.
Clark said a search of the hotel room yielded crystal meth, prescription pills, marijuana edibles, $3,00 cash, and a Glock pistol with an extended magazine.
Edmonson was booked with $22,500 bond, or $7,500 for each felony drug charge. Clark said Edmonson posted bond on Monday and is out of jail.
