Man arrested with meth

A Conehatta man was arrested in Newton County on meth charges here.

The man, Dwayne E. Jacobsen, 48, 1407 Kitchener Road, Conehatta, was arrested on an indictment for possession of methamphetamine in May, according to Neshoba County Sheriff Eric Clark.

Clark said they believe Jacobsen had been hiding somewhere along the Neshoba and Newton County line and has been wanted since he did not turn himself in following a May 2 bond call.

Clark said Jacobsen was picked up by Newton County Sheriff’s deputies on Friday, May 31. 

Clark said he did not know the details of Jacobsen’s arrest in Newton County.

Jacobsen was indicted for possession of methamphetamine following his arrest in August 2022 during a traffic safety checkpoint near the intersection of Road 210 and Road 101.
