A Philadelphia man has been arrested and charged in connection with a pair of assaults that were part of a rampage reported on Friday night that included a shooting on Highway 15, the authorities said.

The man, Bryant K. Frazier, 35, of 512 Church Avenue Apt. 3, was arrested and charged with a drive-by shooting, DUI, and three counts of aggravated assault, Philadelphia Police Chief Eric Lyons said. Frazier remains in custody in the Winston County Jail $101,500 bond.

Lyons said officers responded to the area of Highway 15 and Frog Level Road at approximately 10:40 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 24, where a vehicle had been reported shot.

Lyons said the victim told officers that a black GMC truck was attempting to force itself over into their lane. He said the victim did not allow the vehicle over at which point the driver of the truck then shot three times at the victim’s vehicle, a Dodge Journey. The truck driver then fled the scene.

The victim reportedly described the driver to be a Native American male and gave a possible tag number.

Later that night at approximately 1 a.m. officers received a call on Church Avenue where a black GMC truck was reported to have rammed into another vehicle.

“Officers were advised that a male in a GMC truck was attempting to harm an individual inside the vehicle after an argument,’ Lyons said. “Officers could smell an odor of alcohol coming from the male subject.”

The Church Avenue incident happened at Frazier’s residence.

After investigating officers determined that the road rage shooting and this domestic incident were the same vehicle and suspect. Lyons said the victim of the shooting incident also positively identified Frazier as being the alleged shooter.
