Loretta Jane Bell York

Funeral services for Ms. Loretta Jane Bell York were held at will be held at 2 PM Friday, December 29, 2023 at Bogue Chitto Gym with Rev. Shelly Peoples officiating. Visitation was at 3 PM Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at Bogue Chitto CERF Building. John E. Stephens Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Ms. York, 56, passed away Sunday, December 24, 2023, at Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian, MS. She was a member of MS State Guard and Hopewell Baptist Church. Her hobbies included social dancing, going to thrift stores, watching Family Feud, playing with her grandkids and she loved the New Orleans Saints

She is preceded in death by her husband, Danny York; father, Grady Bell, Sr.; brothers, Gerald Bell, Grady Bell, Jr., Gabrielle Bell and Oliver Bell; nephew, Ryan Bell.

Survivors include her mother, Jannie Lewis Dixon; daughters, Elisa York, Hestina York, Destini York, Rebecca York; sisters, Victoria Lewis, Louwanda Bell, Tanya Dixon, Leona Bell; brothers, Aaron Bell, Orlando Bell, Johnny Bell, Edwin Willis, Larry Davis, Jr., James Henry, Rodger Mayfield.

Pallbearers will be the MS Sate Honor Guard.
