Leake Academy enters the Mid-South Association Independent Schools Overall State Tournament as the Class 4A state champions.

The Rebelettes have a first-round bye in the Overall State Championship tournament.

Friday, TBA, the Rebelettes will host the winner between Jackson Prep and Bowling Green.

Monday, March 8 at 1:30 p.m. -- Semifinals to be played at Hartfield Academy.

Tuesday, March 9 at 5 p.m. -- Girls championship game

MHSAA tournaments

There are three Neshoba Democrat area teams playing in the semifinals of the Mississippi High School Activities Association state tournaments. Games will be played at the Mississippi Coliseum in Jackson.

Neshoba Central plays Tuesday, 4 p.m. vs. Laurel. The winner will play the winner of Brookhaven-Holmes County, Friday, 4 p.m.  Tickets may be purchased online.

Union High School girls play Tuesday, 10:30 a.m. vs. Calhoun City. The winner vs. winner of Newton High-New Site Friday, 1 p.m.

Choctaw Central girls beat Pass Christian on Monday, 72-49. They play the winner of Pontotoc-Moss Point, Thursday, 5 p.m.

Both Kemper County teams are in the semifinals.

Wednesday, noon -- The Kemper County boys vs. Tylertown. The winner vs. winner of Senatobia-St. Andrews Saturday, 3 p.m.

Wednesday, 9 a.m. -- The Kemper County girls vs. Belmont. Winner vs. winner of Crystal Springs-Kossuth Saturday, 1 p.m.
