Layla Luis Gomez

Funeral service for Mrs. Layla Luis Gomez will be held at 2 PM Friday, March 3, 2023 at Pearl River Facility Building with Rev. Daniel Tubby officiating. Interment will be in Phillips Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 4:00 PM Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at Pearl River Facility Building. John E. Stephens Chapel Funeral Services is in charge. 

Mrs. Gomez, 48, passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2023 at Merit Health in Flowood, MS. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Her hobbies included cooking, traveling, reading books and caring for animals.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Hildreth Carl Tubby and Elvira Thinelk; brother, Sean Tubby.

Survivors include husband, Israel Luis of Brandon, MS; sons, Donte Decoteau of TN and Brennan Luis of Brandon; brother, Gall Tubby of Arizona; 6 grand-children.

Pallbearers are Steven Willis, Connery Hodges, Davian Hickman, Jr., Logan Mesteth, Junaluska Wilson, Jr., Christian Steve, Kendall Martin, Mark Tubby.
