Two juveniles, both 17, were arrested and have been charged in connection with a pair of burglaries in December.

Neshoba County Sheriff Eric Clark said both juveniles face burglary charges related to incidents reported on Dec. 9 and Dec. 22. He said one juvenile also faces charges of assaulting a police officer after he had to be restrained when he was brought in on Jan. 31.

The names have not been released and they will be handled through Youth Court.

The first incident on Dec. 9 was a vehicle break-in at Pendleton Square Apartments about 3 p.m. in which a black Glock pistol with a green laser site was taken from the driver’s side door of a vehicle parked there.

The second incident was a burglary reported at. mobile home in the Stallo community on Road 832 in which a Play Station 4 game console and computer were reported stolen on Dec. 22 after the homeowner returned from work that afternoon.

The pistol, computer, and Play Station have all been recovered and returned to their proper owners.

Clark said one of the juveniles was first identified as a suspect shortly after the Dec. 9 incident when the victim said he had been told the juvenile was attempting to sell a pistol matching the description of the one taken from the victim’s vehicle.
