Riley White left recently to start basic training in Fort Benning, Ga., for 10 weeks. After completing basic training, he will be assigned to duty for the next four years in the United States Army. His parents, Chad and Sheena White, and family, are so very proud of him.

He was honored by a going-away party with an Army theme. The food table was covered with a bright blue cloth and a red and white floral arrangement accented with an American flag and an Army flag in the center. Other U.S.  Army décor was used on tables for guests. A balloon arch in red, white, and blue made a nice background for pictures to commemorate the occasion. Plates and napkins with the United States Army's official emblem were used. Family and friends all came to wish Riley good luck and safe travels. Congratulations!

The MSU Bulldog Alumni Tours have offered opportunities for fascinating tours all over the world. Kenya was one of these choices which Linda and Steve Murray took advantage of recently. They love exploring foreign countries together and this trip was amazing!

The alumni from universities included the Traveling Bulldogs, Kentucky Wildcats, and Boomer Sooners. There was always excitement among the travelers as they viewed the splendor of African wildlife in its natural habitat inside the Ol Pejeta Conservancy in Kenya. The Conservancy is located on the Equator with a latitude of 0-0-0 and Altitude 5990FT-1826M.

The great migration of the wildebeest was unbelievable as thousands of them moved in a line on their way to Tanzania. The Big Five were present all around the group. This included lions, rhinos, leopards, elephants, and cape buffaloes. The herd of elephants had a baby elephant and its mother with it. There were gorgeous giraffes and stunning zebras grazing in the area. The last three nights were spent in  a luxurious tent on a high cliff. The nearby forest was filled with many animals which required a man with a bow and arrow to escort them as they went from their tent to the dining room. Linda and Steve made many fantastic memories to share with their family and friends!

September is a busy month of birthdays in the Don and Sharon Tingle McKay family. They went to Arlington, Texas to help Fletcher McKay and Anna Margaret McKay celebrate their birthdays, Fletcher's 6th birthday and Anna Margaret's 2nd.

The children all wore numbered T-shirts specially ordered from Kademi displaying their ages on the front. Fletcher and Anna Margaret wore their shirts showing his #6 and her #2. The grandchildren looked so cute standing in a row in their numbered shirts. It was a Happy Birthday!
