Congratulations to Mary Presley Harrington who enlisted in the Air National Guard on June 1. It was a special day for Mary Presley not only because she joined the Guard, but also because she was sworn in by a family friend, Col. John Singleton, who has known her since she was a little girl.

Reed Harrington, Mary Presley's dad, and John Singleton coached together when their girls were young and the two families became friends. It was an honor for her and her family for him to swear her in. Her family is so proud of her choice to serve our country. Mary Preseley's parents, Reed and Yancey Harrington, her sister, Molly Mason, and Philadelphia grandmother, Judy Mason, were present at the ceremony.

Shirley held that baby and cuddled and cooed to her as though she had not had a stroke. Her family takes great care of her and shares happy events and visits often.
