They are home! After completing a 5,854 mile trip in 15 days, Maudean McAdory Sanders, Genie Hall, Cheryl Mars, and Wanda Brackeen arrived safely in familiar territory.

Their adventure began in South Dakota where they viewed the amazing Badlands National Park. The Badlands are unique and attract visitors from around the world. These striking geologic deposits contain some of the richest fossil beds ever discovered. Ancient horses and rhinos once roamed the area where bison, bighorn sheep, prairie dogs, and black footed ferrets live today.

The scenery all along the trip was fabulous and so different from our area. Everywhere they looked, there were astonishing sights of beauty. Sioux Falls really had gushing waterfalls cascading down from high mountains.

Herds of bison stopped traffic on the highway in Yellowstone National Park where they watched Old Faithful erupt.  Maudean celebrated her birthday there. They saw Custer State Park named for the General who commanded the battle "Custer's Last Stand" which wiped out an entire cavalry regiment by the Sioux. Some other highlights were Devil's Tower National Park; Buffalo Bill State Park; Grand Teton National Park; Jackson Hole, Wyoming, and Theodore Roosevelt National Park. There were several other places they toured and thoroughly enjoyed the entire trip, However, they were glad to sleep in their own comfy beds.

Diamond Elite-Black and Hutt Rushing were at it again! They played in Winona last Saturday in an all-day event. They won the entire championship, but, according to Deena Dansby, the doozie was the game before the championship. It was a triple overtime ballgame! The Diamond Elite won 15-14. The tense, nerve-racking part happened when Hutt was put in as pitcher during the 4th inning when the game went into overtime.

The team had never faced this situation and it was very intense and nerve racking. Hutt never showed the stress he was under, but played "like a champ…he had 7 outs!"(Deena) The Championship Game followed with Diamond elite winning 12-1!  Congratulations!
