A beautiful baby boy arrived on Dec. 15 weighing 8 pounds and 12 ounces, just in time for Christmas! Coast Antonio Eiland decided to be an early Christmas gift for his parents, Greg Eiland and Madysen Hall-Schiffner, who reside in Seattle, Washington.

His father is a former resident of Philadelphia who excelled in football both as a Tornado and a Bulldog who now plays for the Seattle Seahawks. Coast’s Philadelphia grandmother is Lesa Eiland. Congratulations!

The December issue of Southern Living magazine featured the charming home of Nicklaus and Sid Williams Heath in Gulf Breeze, Florida, which was decorated for the holiday season.

The home is a cottage built with entertaining in mind and includes a Lowcountry-style porch with 8-foot tall windows that look out onto the porch. The design and interior décor reflect the owners' personalities and combined ideas. The house took 16 months from start to finish although the planning started much earlier as Sid and Nicklaus brought their ideas together with an architect. The article is interesting and the illustrations are great! Sid is the son of Sid and Mickie Edmisson Williams of Philadelphia. I found it fun that the gifts under the tree included one wrapped in a cheese box from Williams Brothers here in Philadelphia.

New York City in all of its Christmas glory was a magical setting for Carla Cox Martin and Terry Cox McCarver to celebrate their birthdays last week!

Accompanying them were Tommy McCarver, Stephen, Kayla, William, and Margaret Bryant, and Allison and her son Randall Long. The group had an unforgettable time together.

The children loved the famous Schwartz toy store, the Ice Cream Museum, and ice skating in Rockefeller Center best of all. The adults enjoyed everything! They toured the 9/11 Museum, the Statue of Liberty, Central Park, saw the amazing Rockettes perform, and shopped. They also went to two Broadway plays, “Michael Jackson” and “Back to the Future.” It was so exciting for them! The Trump Tower was another interesting sight. They also rode on the subway which was a novel experience. Restaurants served excellent meals including Dos Caminos, Buette, La Pecora Bianca and Serendipity.
