Funeral services for Ms. Jo Thomas were at 10 AM Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at John E. Stephens Chapel with Jonathan Thomas and Nicole Caldwell officiating. Interment was in the Madden Cemetery. John E. Stephens Chapel was in charge.

Ms. Thomas, 92, passed away Friday, September 22, 2023, at Madden Light House in Madden, Ms. She lived most of her life in Neshoba County and was Baptist by Faith. Her hobbies were loving her grandchildren, camping, sewing, and going to the fair.

Preceded in death by her husband Weldon Thomas, parents, James Murray Peoples and Katie Scott Peoples; sisters, Bobbie Jordan, Wilma Kelly, Phyllis Rechtin; daughter-in-law, Annette Thomas.

Survivors include her daughters, Cynthia Thomas of Brandon, Debbie Wren (Tommy) of Raymond, Martha McDaniel (Bill) of Grenada; son, Larry Thomas of Clinton; (8) grandchildren; (18) great-grandchildren, (5) great-great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews, and her family at Madden Light House.
