James Quentin ‘J Q’ Goforth

Services for James Quentin "J Q" Goforth were held Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. from Pine Grove Baptist Church in the House community.   Brother Rusty Walton and Brother Joseph Knight officiated.  Burial was held in the church cemetery.

Mr. Goforth, 92, passed away Saturday, November 12, 2022 at Ochsner Rush Health in Meridian, MS.

He was a native and longtime resident of Neshoba County.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and served in the National Guard. Mr. Goforth worked as a terminal manager for Miller Transport Inc.

He was a member and served as deacon for Pine Grove Baptist Church in the House community of Neshoba County.

Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Celia Maxine Goforth; son, Steve J. Goforth; step-grandchildren, Chris Goss, Anthony Goss, Jeremy Goss and Becky Goss; brother-in-laws, Kenneth Gray, Jimmy Gray and Danny Gray; sister-in-law,Sandra Gray Jones.
