James O. Wells

Funeral services for Mr. James O. Wells will be held at 1 PM Thursday, October 5, 2023, at Pine Grove M.B. Church with Rev. Matthew Riley, Rev. Kenneth Davis, Rev. Carl Smith officiating. Interment will be in the Pine Grove M.B. Church. Visitation will be 2 – 6 PM Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at John E. Stephens Chapel.

He married Ivone Coller Wells on September 29, 1968, in Madden, MS. To this union three children were born.

He departed this life on Tuesday September 26, 2023, at 7:30 PM at his residence.

He was preceded in death by his wife, mother, father, three brothers, and two sisters.

James leaves to cherish his only son Otis Wells (Eliza); brothers, Jesse Wells, Anthony Wells; sisters, Elise Clark, Bennie Bellany, Dorthy Brown, Mary Glaude; (3) sisters-in-law; (1) brother-in-law and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, friends, and a very special friend Mrs. Maggie Haynes.
