Howard Dewayne Benson

Funeral services for Mr. Howard Dewayne Benson will be at 2 PM Thursday, December 21, 2023, at New Zion United Pentecostal Church. Interment will be in Henry’s Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 PM – 8 PM Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at New Zion United Pentecostal Church. John E. Stephens Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Benson, 66, passed away Sunday, December 17, 2023, at The Baptist Hospital in Jackson, MS. He lived most of his life in the Fork Community and was a Truck Driver. He was a member of New Zion United Pentecostal Church, and his hobbies were hunting and loving his grandkids.

Preceded in death by his parents, James Howard Benson, Doris Fortenberry Benson; brother, Jasper Benson.

Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Shelby Benson; son, Chad Benson (Ashley); sisters, Donna Gavin (Dan), Clara Benson; brother, Ricky Benson (Belinda); (6) grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
