Highway 19 South traffic shifted

Traffic on Highway 19 South shifted to newly-constructed lanes last Thursday afternoon.
Traffic was shifted from the old lanes to the newly-constructed lanes on both directions of Highway 19 between Tucker and Philadelphia, the Mississippi Department of Transportation announced.
The lane shift is part of the 4.6-mile expansion of SR 19 from two to four lanes.
Motorists are advised to drive slowly, pay attention to signage and be alert for roadside workers for the remainder of the project.
