Georgia Caroline May to wed James Fenton Mars Aug. 6

Dr. and Mrs. George William May, Jr. announce the engagement of their daughter, Georgia Caroline May, to James Fenton Mars, son of Mr. James Montgomery Mars, II and the late Kimberly Gamblin Mars of Philadelphia, Mississippi.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Deloy Thomas of Hattiesburg and the late Mr. and Mrs. George William May of Jackson.  The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of Mrs. Thomas Davis Gamblin (Joan Madison) and the late Mr. Gamblin and the late Mr. and Mrs. William Montgomery Mars all of Philadelphia.

Miss May is a 2014 graduate of Jackson Preparatory School. She graduated from the University of Mississippi in 2018 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biological Science. While at Ole Miss, she was a member of Chi Omega Fraternity. She is currently a fourth year dental student at the University of Mississippi School of Dentistry.

The prospective bridegroom is a 2014 graduate of Philadelphia High School.  He graduated from the University of Mississippi in 2018 with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Marketing. While at Ole Miss he was a member of the Kappa Alpha Order Fraternity. He is currently working at Terracon Consultants, Inc. in Jackson.

The couple will exchange vows August 6th, 2022 at First Presbyterian Church.
