Funeral services for Frank "Ray" McNair will be held Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at 2 p.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Rev. Ray Spence, Rev. Joseph Knight, Rev. Tommy Conn and Arthur Rhodes officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 25, 2023 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Home.

Mr. McNair,70, of Union, died Sunday, April 23, 2023.

Ray was a native and longtime resident of Neshoba County. He was a 1971 graduate of Neshoba Central High School and attended MSU where he earned his BS Degree in Agricultural Science and later earned his Master's Degree and his Educational Specialist Degree in Community Counseling, and on September 1,1993 he received his license for Social Worker and on January 14,2000 he received his license in Marriage and Family Therapy. He was the Program Director for Senior Life at Neshoba County General Hospital and retired after 25 years of service.

He was an avid MSU fan, enjoyed traveling abroad on cruises and to the mountains, going to Israel and planned on going back, Southern Gospel Music, spending time with his family and especially his kids and grandkids.

Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Kathryn A. McNair of Union, MS; daughters, Rebecca McNair Calissi (Jeff) of South Winsor, CT, Kathryn Rae McNair (John Helmert) of Meridian and Melissa Granieri of Meridian; grandchildren, Austin Granieri, William McNair and Juliana Calissi; sisters, Ruth Conn of Carthage, Rebecca Stokes of Union, Sarah Peebles of Booneville, his twin-Kay Vance of Union and Nancy Nicholson of Union; a host of nieces and nephews.

Mr. McNair was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Mary McNair; sister, Mary Elizabeth Rhodes; brother, Robert McNair.

Pallbearers are, Justin Granieri, Bradley McNair, Chad Vance, Tim Watkins and Justin McElhaney and Jonathan Vance.
