Edward Earl Petty

Funeral services for Edward Earl Petty were held on Thursday November 16, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Reverend Mike Sullivan officiating. Burial followed in Coy Assembly Cemetery. McClain-Hays was in charge of arrangements.

Edward was born and raised in Neshoba County, MS. He worked off-shore for several years and sold produce in Union at the 4-way. Mr. Petty was a member of the Jackson Road Baptist Church.

Survivors include his  wife, Charlotte Petty; daughters,  Mary James, Tammy Danna, Jennifer Petty and Traci Walker; son, Scotty Petty; sisters, Shirley Buckley, Evelyn Moore and  Carolyn Copeland; brothers, Billy and Shelby Anthony; 11 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews  and their families. 

Mr. Petty was preceded in death by his parents, James Earl Petty and Maxine Townsend; brothers, Bobby, Otha, and Oliver Anthony; sisters, Betty Sue Petty and Grace Pilgrim.
