East Central Community College held a successful Career and Technical Education (CTE) open house in Philadelphia last Wednesday, showcasing the opportunities EC offers in the area.

The open house garnered substantial interest, with nearly 150 students from the local area attending. Attendees were given an interactive experience, gaining valuable insights into the diverse CTE offerings provided by ECCC in the Philadelphia area.

Guests visited the Diesel Tech program, housed at the U.S. Motors building. Additionally, participants had the opportunity to delve into the intricacies of the Precision Manufacturing and Machining program, stationed at Neshoba Central High School's Manufacturing and Innovation Center. The open house provided a comprehensive overview of the college's commitment to delivering a solid education and hands-on training in these vital fields.

Beyond these programs, students were introduced to other workforce opportunities available in Philadelphia, such as truck driving and the lineman program.

Importantly, ECCC emphasized that all CTE programs in Neshoba County are accessible to current high school students through dual enrollment. The college also extended its invitation to individuals seeking to jump-start their career or education.
