Dwight Alan Berner

Funeral service for Mr. Dwight Alan Berner was held 10 AM Tuesday, March 8, 2022, at John E. Stephens Chapel with Rev. John E. Stephens officiating. Interment was in the VA Memorial Cemetery in Newton, MS. Visitation was 9 AM Tuesday, March 8, 2022, at John E. Stephens Chapel. John E. Stephens Chapel was in charge of arrangements. 

Mr. Berner, 80, passed away Sunday, February 27, 2022, at his residence. He was Baptist by Faith. He was in the U.S. Navy for 29 years and worked at the U.S. Postal Service for 17 years.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Albert H. Berner and Lucile E. Gross Berner; sister, Betty E. Olinger; brother, Donald E. Berner.

Survivors include his sweetheart, Linda Lancaster; daughter, Victoria D. Berner; son, David E. Berner; sister, Rita Hamilton; (5) grandchildren.
