Deputies searching for man suspected of burglary

A county man is wanted in connection with a burglary and separate vehicle theft reported over the weekend, the authorities said. 

Jonathan “Johnny” Myers, a 60 year old white male, is wanted for burglary and taking of a motor vehicle, according to Neshoba County Sheriff Eric Clark.

Clark said he is a suspect in a home burglary reported on April 15 at a residence eon Road 131.

Clark said Myers had recently done some contract work for the residents. He said they were away form he house between 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. and discovered their home had been burglarized when they returned.

They discovered a 9mm gun, jewelry, multiple television sets and power tools had been taken. 

Clark said deputies have already tracked some of the items to pawn shops in Philadelphia and Vicksburg.

Deputies also received reports that a 1996 White Toyota 4-Runner was reported in the area. Myers is believed to be driving the vehicle. Clark said deputies tracked to the vehicle as one stolen from a residence on Road 282.

Clark said Myers had also done some contract work for the owner of that residence. Clark said the owner has been in the hospital in Meridian for extended period of time and filed a report Sunday afternoon after being contacted by law enforcement.
