Deputies arrested a man on drug-related charges Thursday evening during a safety checkpoint on Highway 429 and County Road 701, Sheriff Eric Clark reported.
According to Clark, a truck driven by Jeffery Stuart approached the checkpoint and he told deputies that he did not have a driver’s license because it was suspended.
Clark said deputies later noticed Stuart was digging around the passenger seat, which deputies later found a glass meth pipe and a pink pill bottle with a plastic baggy inside.
Stuart was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance and other misdemeanor charges.
He was taken to Neshoba County Jail.
