A DeKalb man was arrested on drug charges aftter a traffic stop revealed suspected methamphetamine and marijuana, the authorities said.

The man, Robert Yarbrough, 46, 553 Martin Luther King Jr. Street, DeKalb, was arrested and charged with two counts of possession with intent to distribute. 

Neshoba County Sheriff Eric Clark said Yarbrough also faces several traffic violations that include driving under a suspended license and careless driving.

Yarbrough was stopped driving a brown 2014 Yukon in the Valley View Shopping Center on March 17 at about 4 p.m., according to Clark.

Clark said the deputy detected the strong smell of marijuana in the vehicle. A search revealed a large rock of suspected methamphetamine and a green leafy substance believed to be marijuana.

According to jail records, Yarbrough was released from the Neshoba County Detention Center on March 19 after posting a $15,000 bond.
