Carolyn Vance

Funeral services were on Saturday, February 25, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Bro. David Richardson officiating.  Burial followed in Mars Hill Cemetery in Winston County. McClain-Hays Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.   

Mrs. Vance, 61, of Philadelphia, died Wednesday, February 22, 2023. 

She was born and raised in Neshoba County and attended Neshoba Central. She was employed at Silver Star Casino for a number of years.  Mrs. Vance was of Christian faith. 

Survivors include sister, Marie May; grandson, Skylor Hines, and stepdaughter, Janet Vance, all of Philadelphia, MS.

Mrs. Vance was preceded in death by husband, Horace Vance; stepdaughter, Nancy Hines; sister, Geanette Monk; brothers, Robert “Bob” Fortenberry, Hulbert Fortenberry, William Fortenberry, and Junior Fortenberry; parents, Robert and Elizabeth Fortenberry.

Pallbearers were Ethan Kinard, Tanner McGee, Christopher Fortenberry, T. J. Fortenberry, Eddie Fortenberry, and Roger Vance.
