Graveside service for Ms. Carolyn C. Evans was held  2:00 PM Sunday, March 7, 2021 at Pinetucky Cemetery at Preston with Rev. Gerald Butler and Rev. Chris Gully officiating. John E. Stephens Chapel in charge.

Ms. Evans, 78, passed away Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at Neshoba General Nursing Home. She lived in Kemper and Neshoba Counties most of her life. She was a registered nurse and enjoyed reading and flower gardening. She was a member of Dry Creek Baptist Church.

Preceded in death: Parents, George Washington Conner and Annie Lou Elva Warren Conner; Husband, Lewis Evans; Brothers, Nelson Conner, Thurman Conner.

Survivors: Daughter, Ann Barefield (David) of Preston; Sons, Bill Buchanan (Melody) of Florence, Michael Ted Evans (Heather) of Preston and Ricky Evans (Paula) of Pisgah; Sister, Lorraine Bishop of Meridian; Brothers, Curtis Conner and Daniel Conner, of Gholson; (6) Grandchildren; (4) Great-Grandchildren; Several nieces, nephews.

Pallbearers: grandson and nephews.
