Brenda Joan (Barnes) Sizemore

Brenda Joan Sizemore, 76, of Huntington, WV, passed away on December 14, 2023 after a brief illness. She was born on December 19, 1946, in Philadelphia, MS, to the late Dempsey Joseph Barnes, Jr. and Sadie Bell (Jolly) Barnes. 

Brenda was a devoted member of Lewis Memorial Baptist Church. She cherished her faith, which was an integral part of her life. She found community there with her good friends Darlene, Sandy, and Alice. 

In her spare time, Brenda enjoyed the art of quilting. She poured her heart and creativity into each quilt she made, leaving behind cherished pieces for her loved ones to remember her by. 

Brenda is survived by her beloved husband, Ronald Bruce Sizemore; her loving children, Terri (Joe) Coogler of McDonough, GA, Johnna Gaunch of Belton, SC, and Ronald Sizemore II of Huntington, WV; her caring brothers, Jerry (Judy) Barnes of Philadelphia, MS and Joe (Beverly) Barnes of Estelsville, AL; five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. 

A small memorial service for the family will be planned for a future date to honor Brenda's life. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, a cause close to Brenda's heart. 

May Brenda Joan Sizemore rest in eternal peace, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.
