Betty J. Sheehan Cumberland

Funeral services for Betty J. Sheehan Cumberland were held Sunday, November 28, 2021 at 3 pm at Bloomfield Methodist Church with Rev. Mike Russell officiating. Burial followed in Bloomfield Cemetery. McClain-Hays Funeral Home was in charge of the services.

Mrs. Cumberland, 71 of Meridian, died Thursday, November 25, 2021.

She was a native and longtime resident of Lauderdale County. She worked as a Data Entry Clerk for East MS State Hospital for several years before her retirement. Mrs. Cumberland was a member of Hawkins Memorial UMC of Meridian.

Survivors include her husband, James Cumberland; son, Johnny Russell; daughters, Lori Pickett, Stephanie Stahl; step-sons, Jamie and Michael Cumberland; step-daughters, Ginny and Laura Cumberland; grandchildren, Bailey and Lauren Pickett; several step grandchildren; sister, Barbara Mayfield; brother-in-law, Rev. Mike Russell; a host of nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by parents, Bill and Ira Sheehan; sister, Becky Russell; mother-in-law, Arbela Parker.
