Bernard Killen

Funeral services for Bernard Killen were held Friday, February 10, 2023 at 2:30 p.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel. Bro. Neil Chadwick and Bro. Phillip Roland officiated and Kolby Sisson with family comments. Interment was in New Harmony Baptist Cemetery.

Mr. Killen, 82, of Philadelphia, died Wednesday, February 8, 2023.

Bernard was born and raised in Neshoba County, MS and was a graduate of the class of 1959 at Neshoba Central High School. He started his employment with Byars Furniture, then worked for U.S. Motors for 36 years and retired in 2001. He loved to work, take care of his family, talk to people and he never met a stranger. Mr. Killen was a member of New Harmony Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Roma Holley Killen; daughters, Tammy Sisson (Glenn) and Tonya Gentry; grandchildren, Ashley Triplett, Kolby Sisson (Sydney), Kyle, Korey and Krissie Gentry; great-grandchildren, Kyler and Kaden Carter, Bentley and Brady Triplett, Lily, Willow, Carmen and Glory Sisson, Kristina Gentry and Kohen Carter.

Mr. Killen was preceded in death by parents, William Clyde Killen and Annie Goldman Killen; infant older brother.
